Next year’s Scandinavian PUG Conference will mark the 20th anniversary of the POB User Group in Scandinavia – the two-day conference is planned for March 13-14, 2018, at the beautiful Gimo Herrgård, about an hour’s drive north of Stockholm’s Arlanda airport. The conference will be packed with presentations, workshops and plenty of opportunity for networking with POB colleagues from all over Scandinavia. The Scandinavian PUG board recently met to start preparations for making the 20^th anniversary conference a memorable one.

At the recent meeting, the PUG board also evaluated this year’s conference and discussed the change in the board caused by a job change for one of the board members. Read more about the outcome of the recent board meeting in the information from the board.

Following the board meeting and in preparation for next year’s conference, two short surveys are being prepared for sending out in Scandinavia over the next weeks. The board will meet again in September, and hope to send out more information about the coming conference during September-October.

Wendia North America hope to see you for the next POB G6 Administrator training, planned for August 7-11. The class will be using the POB G6 Version 1.8 system for the training, which is the current generally available release of POB. In addition to the general POB admin subjects, 1.8 features like GUI enhancements, new themes, additional custom windows and enhancements to the POB Web functionality will also be reviewed.

This would be a great class to attend with the focus on POB G6 1.8, whether you are on 1.8 or on a back release. Wendia are certain you will find it worthwhile, valuable to your investment in POB, and technically inspiring – so please join in!

PUG 2017 has just been held at the Sundvolden Hotel in Norway. Thanks to all participants for sharing their knowledge and contributing to a lot of networking and fun. The two-day program included presentations and round-table discussions on topics like setting up service catalogs in the Self Service Portal, as well as setting up landing pages for it, customized case windows, the Project & Change Management module, Knowledge Management, Enterprise Service Management and mail distribution from POB and a whole lot more. Furthermore, the conference participants competed in a geoQuestor event and discussed various issues at the yearly General Assembly. The North American team is excited to invite POB users to a 5-day POB System Administration training that will be held at Wendia North America’s corporate headquarters in Orem on April 10th-14th.

Also, in May, 16th-18th, a PCM Bootcamp is held offering students the knowledge necessary to build out and automate their own business workflows. The three-day in-depth training starts off with a hands-on training on the PCM module followed by two days dedicated to creating and designing workflows for the students’ business.

After many years of working with Change in POB, Norwegian Statsbygg thoroughly revised their ITIL processes. At the upcoming conference, Statsbygg will do a presentation on how revised ITIL processes led to a new and improved way of using POB PCM.

Statsbygg will also be hosting a round-table discussion where they will go in depth with how they changed their use of POB PCM and what advantages it gave.
